Purevision is designed for regular wearers who want a reusable monthly lens with long-lasting comfort and reliable vision correction.
Purevision offers several advantages:
- a convenient monthly replacement rhythm
- reliable reusable lens wear with care solution
- soft material, often appreciated for immediate comfort
Purevision is made of Hydrogel.
Wearing time should always follow the recommendations of the fitting specialist, optometrist or ophthalmologist.
As a general guideline, it is usually recommended not to exceed 12 hours per day.
These monthly lenses are worn during the day and removed before sleep. The usual rhythm is a replacement every 30 days maximum. In daily wear with nightly removal, one pair may generally be worn up to 30 times over a maximum period of 2 months.
Yes. Unlike daily disposable lenses, weekly, two-week and monthly lenses generally need to be cleaned, rinsed, disinfected and stored after each removal, unless your practitioner has prescribed another wearing mode.
Use only a suitable contact lens solution, never tap water, and replace the case regularly.
For the full routine and the main mistakes to avoid, see our dedicated contact lens care guide.
As a general rule, it is better not to sleep, shower or swim with reusable lenses unless your practitioner has explicitly approved it for your eyes and for this specific lens.
Even when a lens has an extended-wear approval in some cases, overnight wear remains a professional decision and not a routine recommendation.
In Switzerland, a prescription is not always legally mandatory in every situation for standard contact lenses. However, professional fitting, annual follow-up and proper handling instruction are strongly recommended by an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
Base curve, diameter, material and optical design should match your eyes and your visual needs. Changing brand or replacement rhythm without advice is not recommended.
In Switzerland, reimbursement for contact lenses depends on the medical situation and the insurance contract.
As a practical overview, compulsory insurance may provide reimbursement in certain cases, for example for people under 18, some special ophthalmic situations, certain contact lens indications, or progressive myopia up to age 21. Amounts and conditions vary depending on the case.
For a clear summary of compulsory insurance and supplementary insurance, see our dedicated guide: reimbursement of glasses and contact lenses in Switzerland.
Among the high-end alternatives you may discuss with your optician are: Total 30, Acuvue Vita, Biofinity, Ultra, Air Optix Plus Hydraglyde.
