CHEAP LENSES SWITZERLAND

Appointment at the contact lens fitting center Lausanne East - Pully

It is highly recommended for new wearers even if the cosmetic lenses are not corrective (this is the case for colored lenses).

If you have been wearing lenses for several years, it can also be useful to you by providing you with better visual comfort. The physiology of your eye may have changed, progress has brought new types of lenses more comfortable, new materials, new technologies, ... It is strongly recommended to have your lenses checked once a year by your specialist even if everything is fine.

In all cases, a prior ophthalmic examination determines the absence of contraindication to the fitting of lenses.

- Find the best type of lenses (soft or rigid lenses, cheap lenses Switzerland, materials, diameter, products...) according to the physiology of your eye, the visual defect to be corrected, and your lifestyle.

- Learning how to handle lenses: hygiene, insertion, removal, care tips.

The lens fitting program is not mandatory, however, after your fitting sessions :

- You have all the information about your lenses: the type, the brands, the exact measurements of your eyes, the care products you need to buy.

- you know how to put the lens on the eye.

- the lens is comfortable for you and you see well.

- you can remove the lens from the eye.

- you know how to care for your lenses, you have acquired all the reflexes and care gestures for your eyes.

The tests take place over several appointments during which we proceed to :

- An eye examination with determination of the spectacle refraction and monocular and binocular visual acuity.

- An examination of the quantity and quality of tears.

- A measurement of the corneal topography for the elaboration of the contact lens characteristics for the patient.

- Lens discount.

- Learning how to handle lenses (fitting, removal, advice).

- Learning how to care for your lenses.

- Checking the lenses on the eyes.

- The indication of the time of day for wearing the lenses (at first a few minutes, then a few hours, then...)

- Controls: visual acuity control, tolerance, tears, stability and cleanliness of the lens.

- A final check after 3 or 4 weeks of wearing.

With each trial, changes in the choice of contact lenses may occur.

The last appointment is a control examination. The person must come with the lenses in place for at least two hours.

During the adaptation process, it is quite normal that the person may experience these effects or symptoms slightly: - red or watery eyes, itchy eyes - glare. - sensation of a foreign body. - Strong blinking. - Slightly blurred vision, especially side vision. - Difficulty handling lenses. Of course, if any of these symptoms reach a very unpleasant or intolerable level, the lenses should be removed!

On average, it takes at least 1 month to adapt.

For soft lenses, the adaptation can be done in one week but it takes a little longer for rigid gas permeable lenses. In any case, even if the adaptation is done quickly, you will have to come back after several weeks for the controls.

You will usually only feel the lens for the first few days.

Patience... It can happen that after several weeks or months of trying soft lenses, the results are not satisfactory, in which case you will probably have to try a semi-rigid lens.

The adaptation of contact lenses takes place in several appointments. The number of appointments, from 2 to 5, depends on the type of lenses you are going to wear, your correction and the complexity of the adaptation. You will do as many tests as necessary until you find the lenses that suit you best. In general, the number of visits required is determined during your first appointment.

Progressive lenses or rigid lenses require a slightly longer adaptation time.

Cheap lenses Switzerland ? The cost is generally proposed as a lump sum. Lump sums for adaptation vary between 40 CHF for a control of your lenses and 120 CHF for a first adaptation.

The lenses and a sample of cleaning products are provided.
